Angelina’s family received Christmas gifts through the Angel Tree Project, hosted by The Salvation Army and MCCAA. Her son attends Head Start, and she learned about the opportunity to participate from her Head Start Caseworker, Lisa Gonzales. For Angelina and her three children, the gifts and food made a huge difference in the kind of Christmas they experienced – from hardly any to plenty!
“It is just so good to know there are still nice people out there who are willing to help,” Angelina said with tears in her eyes. Knowing that her children would have a good Christmas made Angelina feel less depressed and gave her a huge relief to be able to enjoy the holidays with her family.
